• The word dabaw is pronounced da’vao with a hard accented a and vao pronounced gently with a downward tone
• Located in the Southeastern part of Mindanao, is approximately 946 kilometers from Manila. It is the key player in the flourishing trading club called Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area or BIMP-EAGA. Mindanao’s center of commerce, trade and services.
• Known for the scenic and majestic Mt. Apo, the highest peak in the country at 10,311 feet above the sea level.

We left samal island around 0900H then proceed to the barge via tricycle, 100 fare for all of us. then we started the rounds to tour the davao city as per the following;

entrance fee's for crocodile park, tribu kadayawan and butterfly garden is collectively paid in crocodile park's main entrance. But these 3 parks are separated to each other. After visiting crocodile park first, proceed to tribu kadayawan which is on the right side of te main entrance then walk outside around 500 meters to butterfly garden. of course, different charges apply for adult, children and senior citizens.
For outland adventure, an adventure park with 2 zipline sets which they called as xcelerator, is on a taxi distance for around 100 pesos only. this 2 sets is composed of two 600 meters long on a 500-meter and 600 meters high. My sister, my cousin and my 6-years old nephew tried all of the and they conquered their fears with joyful excitement. Imagine a 6-years old on a zipline beside me, he doesn't feel any scared moment. In fact, he wanted to do it again. By the way, for 6 years old and below, free of charge to take both ziplines.
Afterwards, Japanese tunnel is another a taxi distance with entrance fee of 50 pesos for adults and 20 pesos for children. This includes the tour guide fee. The tour lasted only les than 3o minutes, somehow worth to see.
