150 Kilometer Abu Dhabi City Folding Bike 2nd Solo Day Ride

March 20 Friday 1000H to 2200H, 2020 in Abu Dhabi City, United Arab Emirates

This folding bike long distance escapade in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates was the longest distance I achieved so far and served as my 3rd for 100 kilometers and 2nd on 150 kilometers. The 150 kilometer challenge was an initiated fun biking adventure of Abu Dhabi Folding Bikes Group where I joined only last January 2020 and inspired during the 5th Anniversary certificate awarding.

I started the cycling monitor on run keeper app in Hamdan Street where I live, going to Airport Road to the direction of Zayed Sports City and Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque. Afterwards to Mussafah Bridge, passed-by to my first residential area in Mussafa, Dalma Mall until E30 main road all the way to Al Wathba's Sheik Zayed Heritage Festival. Then went back to city via E22 Main Road,  Shiek Zayed Bridge and with my last destination Al Reem Island before the night snacks and ride home.

150 Kilometer Abu Dhabi City Folding Bike Solo Day Ride

March 14 Saturday 1030H to 2130H, 2020 in Abu Dhabi City, United Arab Emirates

Another Longest ride bucket list just after 8 days after accomplishment of my personal best longest record of 100 Kilometer Challenge Abu Dhabi City Folding Bike Ride at Night. The longest bike rides I had before this event was around 40km morning ride to Jubail Mangrove Park, Abu Dhabi (Feb. 2020)  and more than 50km afternoon mountain bike ride in Easter Island, Chile (Jan. 2020) for the stunning beauty of coastline.

The 150 kilometer challenge is an initiated biking fun adventure of Abu Dhabi Folding Bikes Group where I joined only last January 2020 and inspired during the 5th Anniversary certificate awarding. This trip served as my 1st long distance solo bike ride in the city.

I started the cycling monitor on run keeper app in Hamdan Street where I live, going to ADIA Corniche in the direction to Marsa Mina. Ride out continues to Flagpole then to UAE Presidential Palace (Qasr Al Watan), continued to Al Bateen all the way to the Al Hudayriat Bridge and Island. I had my 30min breaktime in ADNOC gas station before the ADNEC building and the Zayed Sports City. I reached the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque then all the way to Mussafah Bridge. Then went back to city via Maqta Bridge and Shiek Zayed Road and with my last destination Al Reem Island before the night snacks and ride home.

100 Kilometer Challenge Abu Dhabi City Folding Bike Ride at Night

March 05 (Thu 1930H) to 06 (Fri 0300H), 2020 in Abu Dhabi City, United Arab Emirates

Another Longest ride bucket list... from longest train ride from Moscow to Vladivostok (Tran-Siberia) in Russia (Aug. 2017) to longest plane ride from Abu Dhabi, UAE to Los Angeles, US (Jul. 2019) to longest folding bike ride at 100 kilometer distance in Abu Dhabi, UAE (Mar. 2020). The longest bike rides I had before this event was around 40km morning ride to Jubail Mangrove Park, Abu Dhabi (Feb. 2020)  and more than 50km afternoon mountain bike ride in Easter Island, Chile (Jan. 2020) for the stunning beauty of coastline and the mysterious Moais.

The 100 kilometer challenge is an initiated biking fun adventure of Abu Dhabi Folding Bikes Group where I joined only last January 2020. This trip served as my 6th ride with them and honored to be invited, as the 100km challenge will not be a success without their push, support and determination to let us Challengers achieved also what they already accomplished.

I started the cycling monitor on run keeper app in Hamdan Street where I live, going to ADIA Corniche as the group meeting point. At 1930H we started our ride out going to Flagpole then to UAE Presidential Palace (Qasr Al Watan), continued to Al Bateen. We had our 30min breaktime in ADNOC gas station before the ADNEC building passing the Zayed Sports City. We reached the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque at 2300H with around 60km mark and had our Challenger's photo. Then went back to city via Shiek Zayed Road and with our last destination Al Reem Island before our midnight snacks and ride home.

Morning Bike Ride to Jubail Mangrove Park

February 14, 2020 Friday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Jubail Mangrove Park is a mangrove sanctuary to enhance the awareness, appreciation and understanding of the important ecological function of the mangrove habitats that include protection of the Abu Dhabi Coastline and supporting biodiversity. A meandering boardwalk will take you through the mangroves and allows you to discover Abu Dhabi in its essence. Jubail Mangrove Park is located in Al Jubail Island and just opened on 30-Jan-2020.

Admission fee is free of charge at the moment as some parts of the park are still closed for construction (especially the part where the Flamingos or majority of the migratory birds are nesting).

Patagonia's Laguna delos Tres vs Torre del Paine Day-Hike Comparison

two of the best and most popular Argentine Patagonia's day-hike
Started the fun-hiking from my home country to moving beyond the neighbors in South-east Asia (Kinabalu) and North (Fuji), all the-way to Central Asia (Himalayas) and Africa (Kilimanjaro). Dream-hike is unstoppable all the way in South America's famous, the Patagonia trails. Patagonia hike is a challenge for a long hike rather than its summit elevation. I failed to accomplish hiking the Chilean Patagonia side due to underestimated / miscalculated bus schedule from Punta Arenas Airport to Puerto Natales Bus Station :'(

Laguna delos Tres (Argentina Patagonia) is the most desired and exciting trek that takes you to the foot of Mount Chaltén. This natural viewpoint is the closest site to the mythical walls of the Mount Fitz Roy and its surrounding granite peaks and without a doubt the most famous of all treks. Torres del Paine (Chile Patagonia) is a national park in the Extreme South region of Patagonian Chile. It is located in the southern tiers of the Andes and features mountains, lakes and glaciers. The Torres del Paine (Spanish for "Towers of Paine", "Paine" being the old indigenous name for the colour blue), three immense rock towers give the park its name.
