Folding Bike Cycling is my newly discovered hobby in the UAE's capital. This is an alternative / replacement for my itchy feet on my quest to fulfill my beyond #lakbay100 journey for other countries which I did not visited yet. As what a usual traveler quote, there is no place like home. Abu Dhabi City is my home for more than three years and surprisingly, biking gave me a one-of-a-kind perspective on the amazing views of this city. Thank you Abu Dhabi :)
My biking adventure starting point is on my home building along Hamdan Street. The best way start this journey is through Al Bateen from Nareel Area then to Central Bank, Crown Prince Court and finally to Hudayriat Bridge and Hudayriat Island. Hudayriat Island is a cycling heaven due to the following; (1) the bridge is a bit challenging due to its long assault going up with 2km approximate length and (2) the island has more than 10km cycling route road with amazing views of the bridge, Arabian Gulf and mainland Abu Dhabi.
Route Flow : Al Bateen - Central Bank - Crown Prince Court - Hudayriat Bridge - Hudayriat Island
Route distance : more than 35 kilometers (start / end in Hamdan Street)
Route description : amazing views along Hudayriat Bridge and Hudayriat Island
Cycling tracks : along Hudayriat Bridge and Hudayriat Island and some parts of Al Bateen
Best time to bike : morning and afternoon until evening (weekend preferably)
