Folding Bike Cycling is my newly discovered hobby in the UAE's capital. This is an alternative / replacement for my itchy feet on my quest to fulfill my beyond #lakbay100 journey for other countries which I did not visited yet. As what a usual traveler quote, there is no place like home. Abu Dhabi City is my home for more than three years and surprisingly, biking gave me a one-of-a-kind perspective on the amazing views of this city. Thank you Abu Dhabi :)
My biking adventure starting point is on my home building along Hamdan Street. The best way to start this journey is through Hazaa Bin Zayed the First Bridge along E10 Road then turn right on the on-going construction of Al Reem Mall (will be the biggest mall in Abu Dhabi), Reem Village and follow the Dinosaur shape road on the google map (around 8km distance) until you reach the Jazeerat Al Reem. Exit going back home is through Al Mariah Island's The Galleria Mall and Hamdan Bridge.
Route Flow : Hazaa Bin Zayed the First Bridge - Al Reem Mall - The Gate District - Shams - Al Mariah Island
Route distance : around 20 kilometers, 8 kilometers for Dino route (start / end in Hamdan Street)
Route description : amazing views of high-rise buildings (on-going construction)
Cycling tracks : mostly but since not much cars passing-by, along the road outermost lane
Best time to bike : morning and afternoon until evening (weekend preferably)
