Poland 2-Days Trip 1st part; Overnight Train from Bratislava to Krakow


How to Go to Wieliczka Salt Mine;
There is a daily every 30mins interval departure from Krakow at 3 PLN fare for 30mins travel time. This is guided tour with specific timings for different languages. Entrance fee is 79 PLN for 2.5hrs to 3hrs tour duration. Photography and video taking has a separate fee of 12 PLN.

Wieliczka Salt Mine, built in the 13th century, produced table salt continuously until 2007, as one of the world's oldest salt mines still in operation. From its beginning and throughout its existence, the Royal mine was run by the Żupy krakowskie Salt Mines. The mine's attractions include dozens of statues and four chapels that have been carved out of the rock salt by the miners. The oldest sculptures are augmented by the new carvings by contemporary artists.
