Denmark 2-Days Trip 3rd part; Morning Tour to Roskilde

2-Days trip to quickly sight-see the best marvels of Denmark
June 30 to July 01, 2015

There was a 2 weeks music festival the day I visited but it is far from the Roskilde Station. The ticket was very, very expensive and already sold-out.

How to Go to Roskilde;
There is daily regular departure from Copenhagen Central Station to Roskilde at around 25mins travel time for 96 DKK (13EUR). The Main reason why I visited Roskilde was for Viking Ship Museum. I did not enter the museum main building because photography and video taking is free to capture in the port.

The exhibition of the Viking Ship Museum includes five, unique Viking Ships, discovered in 1962 during excavations in Roskilde Fjord. The end of Viking period (11th Century) saw the construction of a barrier system to protect the Cathedral and Royal city of Roskilde. This five Viking Ships are Ottar, Sea Stallion from Glendalough, Roar Ege, Helge Ask and Kraka Fyr.

Roskilde is an ancient city dating from the Viking age. The most important historical sights are the Viking Museum and Roskilde Cathedral. Roskilde is also home to the giant rock music event, Roskilde Festival.
