How to go to London West-end Theaters;
West-end Show Theaters are located in Central London Zone 1. For "Wicked" that is always shown in Apollo Victoria is just upon exit of Victoria Underground Station of Circle and District Line. For "Phantom of the Opera" in Her Majesty's Theater is around 400m away from Piccadilly Circus Underground Station of Bakerloo and Piccadilly line. For "Miss Saigon" in Prince Edward Theater is around 200m away from Tottenham Court Underground Station of Central and Northern Line.

 London West-End Shows Second Visit (October 2014)

No visit in London is complete without a visit to a west end show. West End Theater is a popular term for mainstream professional theatre staged in the large theatres of "Theatreland" in and near the West End of London. Along with New York's Broadway theatre, West End theater is usually considered to represent the highest level of commercial theater in the English-speaking world. I watched 3 shows among more than 20 that time. I rate the Miss Saigon as 9of10, followed by Phantom of the Opera at 8of10 and 7of10 for Wicked. My criteria is based on the stage production and over-all impact it gave to me. Prices are only purchased on the day of show. "Miss Saigon", June 28 for 26.4GBP on Grand Circle seat. "Phantom of the Opera", June 30 26GBP on Balcony seat. "Wicked", July 02 23GBP on Upper Circle seat.

Wicked (the least I like among these 3) is a musical by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. It is based on the 1995 Gregory Maguire novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. The musical is told from the perspective of the witches of the Land of Oz. Wicked tells the story of two unlikely friends, Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West) and Glinda (the Good Witch of the North), who struggle through opposing personalities and viewpoints, rivalry over the same love-interest, reactions to the Wizard's corrupt government, and, ultimately, Elphaba's public fall from grace.

Phantom of the Opera (which I rated as the 2nd among these 3 I've watched) is a musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Based on the French novel Le Fantôme de l'Opéra by Gaston Leroux, its central plot revolves around a beautiful soprano, Christine Daaé, who becomes the obsession of a mysterious, disfigured musical genius. Phantom is the most financially successful entertainment event to date. By 2011 it had been seen by over 130 million people in 145 cities in 27 countries, and continues to play in both London and New York.

Miss Saigon (which I think the best among the 3 I've watched) is a musical by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil tells the tragic tale of a doomed romance involving an Asian woman abandoned by her American lover. The setting of the plot is relocated to the 1970s Saigon during the Vietnam War, and Madame Butterfly's story of marriage between an American lieutenant and Japanese girl is replaced by a romance between an American GI and a Vietnamese bar girl. As of September 2013, Miss Saigon remains Broadway's twelfth longest-running show.
