3 Days White-Water River Solo Trip in Bali, Indonesia

Bali Temples hopping and White-water river rafting and tubing adventure
August 02-05, 2014

"Think Indonesia and tourism, and the first thing that comes to mind is probably Bali. Think golf holiday, and most people would dream of Scotland or Ireland. But Indonesia harbors one of the best-kept secrets in the world of travel: it is a golfer's paradise." - Raymond Bonner

My 39th country to visit, 35th solo backpacking trip, 8th country to visit in Southeast Asia and of course, usual budget do-it-yourself itinerary from arrival to departure.

With 18,110 islands, 6,000 of them inhabited, Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world. About 240 million people live in this fourth most populous country in the world — after China, India and the USA — and by far the largest country in Southeast Asia. Indonesia also has the largest Muslim population in the world. Indonesia's population is on course to overtake the US and become the third largest before 2044. Indonesia markets itself as Wonderful Indonesia, and the slogan is quite true, although not necessarily always in good ways. Indonesia's tropical forests are the second-largest in the world after Brazil.

Arrival from Ngurah Rai (Denpasar) International Airport;
Filipinos have free pre-arranged visa requirements in Indonesia regardless if transit or tour for how many times as long as the 30 days maximum limit per entry as mandated by local immigration is not exceeded. As for me, when I encountered the Immigration Officer in Bali, I have my Indonesia arrival visa stamp in less than a minute with no single question at all. This process was one of the easiest airport entry process I ever experience. From the airport, I just walked outside going to Kuta where I booked my 3 nights stay which was around 5km distance.

Anyways, I divided this wonderful journey into different set of posts to be more specific on its content;
