Tokyo City by day; Odaiba and Ueno Park

7-days wandering solo in summer Japan
may 28 - june 04, 2013 tuesday to tuesday

Tokyo City at night (the tower & Shibuya)

After visiting Disney resort, I went to Odaiba afterwards to see the San Francisco and New York in Tokyo city concept of Japan. As seen in the following photos overlooking at the Port of Tokyo, Rainbow bridge looks like San Francisco bridge while the other is an obvious landmark of New York.

Odaiba is a large artificial island in Tokyo, Japan, featuring many hypermodern and just plain strange buildings memorably described as the result of an acid-soaked pre-schooler's architecture class. There is no JR station, only Yurikamome line (private). From Shimbashi station, train fare cost 620yen for one trip.

I visited Ueno park in the morning before I went to Kinugawa's Tobu World Square. According to my research, there is shuttle bus here that directly alight to Tokyo Skytree. There is no JR station that connects Skytree from my Hostel. Since I cannot enter Skytree due to booked first requirement, I decided to sightsee the landmark only inside of the transparent-roof shuttle bus.
