One of the most controversial landmark by early civilizations of all time, and the only man-made ancient wonder of the world that still standing... Pyramids of Giza has been always talk-about how it was done and why it was like that. Because of this curiosity and an avid fan of Ancient Aliens TV Series, a dream came true for me to witness, amaze and walk on the sands within its vicinity, unimaginable but reality as it is. I am very much thankful to our God Almighty for having this trip.

Photography is not allowed inside the pyramids, and strolling can be enough at 2 hours.

how to go here;
Starting from Giza station of metro line 2 (1 EGP), go towards to the road crossing the metro. Since bus destination names are absolutely in Arabic even the numbers, Asking the locals is an important task. They told me that most of the bus cross the intersection to way to Pyramids. All I have to do is ask the driver first and request to drop-off (1 EGP). Upon drop-off, Pyramid of Khufu is already visible.

There are two entrance gates for the Pyramids compound. The 1st one is through Pyramid of Khufu which is straight ahead from the bus drop-off, approximate 1 km by walking. The 2nd one is through the front of Sphinx and Pyramid of Khafre (with KFC/Pizza Hut infront) which is on the left of the bus drop-off with approximate 500 m by walking. I walked from the Khufu's entrance to Sphinx entrance which nearly around over a kilometer distance.

Entrance in the Pyramids compound is 60 EGP. There is separate entrance fee for each of the 3 pyramids, only two of those are accesible for now. Opens daily from 0800H to 1800H.

I just stroll the pyramids compound ONLY by foot (camel/horse riding costs 50 EGP). Starting from Great Sphinx, to Menkaure pyramid (the small one), to Khafre pyramid (the middle one), then to Khufu pyramid (the large one).

The Great Pyramid of Giza (also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops) is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis bordering what is now El Giza, Egypt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact. Egyptologists believe that the pyramid was built as a tomb for fourth dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops in Greek) over a 10 to 20-year period concluding around 2560 BC. Initially at 146.5 metres (481 feet), the Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years unsurpassed. The accuracy of the pyramid's workmanship is such that the four sides of the base have an average error of only 58 millimetres in length.
