Uganda's Lake Bunyonyi Boat Cruising

4 Days Solo Trip in Uganda - Rwanda (East Africa)
June 23 to 27, 2017

Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Park Gorilla Tracking

Lake Bunyonyi is in south-western Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale, and it is close to the border with Rwanda. The lake appears on the 5,000 Ugandan shilling note under the title "Lake Bunyonyi and terraces". The depth of the lake is expected to vary between 44 m (144 Ft.) and 900 m (2,952 ft), which if true would make the lake the second deepest in Africa and third in the world. Many tourists and travelers who undertake a Gorilla trekking safari in Uganda or come to Uganda after their Rwanda Gorilla safari experience rest and relax at the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi as they enjoy the best scenery, involve themselves into various cultural and community activities as well birding and canoe rides.

Sightseeing the 3rd deepest lake in the world...

Uganda's Equator Line Short Visit

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a bio-diverse, mountainous area in southwest Uganda. It's home to many of the world’s remaining silverback mountain gorillas, who feed on roots, leaves and fruits from the park’s many tree and fern species. Restricted numbers of viewing permits help protect the endangered gorilla families.

Uganda's Equator Line Short Visit

4 Days Solo Trip in Uganda - Rwanda (East Africa)
June 23 to 27, 2017

The Equator line passes through Uganda and the line has been marked at 72km along the Kampala-Masaka Road and other equator mark is located in Kasese District within the Queen Elizabeth National Park. There are shops including craft shops, art galleries, restaurants and others at the Equator Line.  While at the Equator, the visitor has an opportunity to see an experiment of how water with a small flower drains straight down at the Equator and have visit certificate (10,000 UGX / $3). But the water will drain clockwise on the northern hemisphere and anti-clockwise on the southern hemisphere.

Exactly on the line in between the Earth's northern and southern hemisphere...
