Stem-Cell FUE Hair Transplant and PRP Hair Improvement Journey

Hair thickness rejuvenation dream in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
September 2019 to September 2020

Three major requirement if you desire to have the Hair Transplant:
1. Donor area is healthy - can cover the recipient (balding) area, usually with minimum of 2,000 grafts to extract
2. Blood Test - should PASSED all the required 13 sets of test
3. The Budget - hair transplant is a cosmetic surgery and expensive, usually not covered by the insurance.

STEM-CELL FOLLICLE UNIT EXTRACTION (FUE) HAIR TRANSPLANT
Stem Cell FUE, is the latest hair transplantation technique for male & female that is faster and effective than the traditional FUT and FUE hair transplant methods. The technique uses an automated tool for harvesting donor hairs. This tool works just like the punch machine used for manual FUE, but at a faster rate, and with more precision and accuracy. It allows graft extraction at the fastest speed with 100% precision and accuracy and minimum graft damage rate.

PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP) HAIR ENHANCEMENT
PRP (platelet rich plasma) is a procedure that keeps you safe from surgery and provides you a solution to your hair fall. This procedure is desired if you have a receding hairline, just need improvement in already existing hair and just want to strengthen hair and make them shinier.

MY EXPERIENCE ON FUE / PRP PROCEDURE DETAILS

01. Free consultation and booking confirmation (Sep. 07 Sat) - the doctor will confirm if my donor area is healthy and can cover the recipient (balding) area, the 1st major requirement.
02. Blood test (Sep. 07 Sat) - 13 sets of test with 5 sets of blood extraction, the hospital called me for the results after 1 day, 2nd major requirement.
03. Balance payment (Sep. 14 Sat) - before the procedure, 3rd major requirement.
04. Preparation and picture taking before and line pattern creation (Sep. 14 Sat) - wear button down shirts, around 15 minutes.
05. Multiple local anesthesia on the donor area - around less than 30 needle pricks, the painful part especially on the lower middle back part of the head, around 30 minutes
06. Follicle extraction - lie down (face down) for around 2 hours, hardest part is body numbness due to movement restriction. 2,574 grafts were extracted to me.
07. Lunch - awesome complete meal (corn soup, orange juice, vegetable salad and beef menu)
08. Multiple local anesthesia on the recipient area - around less than 30 needle pricks, the painful part is on the hairline, around 30 minutes
09. Hole creation on the recipient area - took around on hour, lie down face up watching tv / cp gaming.
10. Graft transplanting - took around 2.5 hours lie down face up watching tv / cp gaming.
11. PRP 1st session - simultaneously extraction blood on my left arm while graft transplanting was performed
12. Bandage and after procedure instructions - bandage was placed on the donor part only, recipient area is exposed. Listen to all the instructions, bought all the medication (just around 110 AED / $30 only) and took a taxi to avoid sun / dust exposure
13. Bandage removal (Sep. 15 Sun) - lasted only for 15 minutes including cleaning and further instruction advise
14. 1st hair wash (Sep. 16 Mon) - on the donor part only, recipient part can be washed also but strictly not to touch
15. 1st hair wash of graft area (Sep. 23 Mon) - on the recipient area, the nurse put some chemicals to remove the black part
16. PRP 2nd Session (Oct. 12 Sat) - the staff put anesthesia white cream, extracted my blood, then the PRP session for more than 10 pricks. The pain is there for around 15 minutes. Advised to buy Minoxidil 5% and multivitamin afterwards.
17. PRP 3rd Session (Nov. 05 Tue) - same like the 2nd session except that (1) the staff put only spray anesthesia instead of the white cream and (2) the clinic location was in Dubai  due to Abu Dhabi relocation progress. The most painful PRP session I have, imagine around more than 30 pricks on your head without effective anesthesia. I felt dizziness and vomiting.
18. PRP 4th / Final Session (Dec. 09 Mon) - same like 2nd session, there was only a short pain along the process
