Folding Bike Cycling is my newly discovered hobby in the UAE's capital. This is an alternative / replacement for my itchy feet on my quest to fulfill my beyond #lakbay100 journey for other countries which I did not visited yet. As what a usual traveler quote, there is no place like home. Abu Dhabi City is my home for more than three years and surprisingly, biking gave me a one-of-a-kind perspective on the amazing views of this city. Thank you Abu Dhabi :)
My biking adventure starting point is on my home building along Hamdan Street. The best way to do this journey is through Corniche area first, then to Flagpole, Marina Mall, Emirates Palace, Presidential Palace (Qasr Al Watan), Nareel Island and go back to Hamdan Street. On this day I did the reverse but it is not advisable due to opposite traffic direction from Emirates Palace to Marina Mall and Flagpole.
Route Flow : Corniche - Flagpole - Marina Mall - Emirates Palace - Presidential Palace - Nareel Island
Route distance : more than 30 kilometers (start / end in Hamdan Street)
Route description : amazing views along Corniche, Palaces and Nareel
Cycling tracks : only along Corniche and Nareel, the rest of the area is along the road outermost lane
Best time to bike : morning and afternoon until evening (weekend preferably)
