Visa fee gratis (free) if visa request duration is less than 30 days

requirements:

1. Passport, (valid for at least 30 days after the intended stay) at least Two unused/blank visa pages)
2. Two recent (not older than 30 days/1 month) passport size, ( 35mm x 45mm of the picture) photographs
3. Fully completed visa application form-11 (DHA-84) – must be completed in black ink and block letters.
4. Vaccination certificate, (yellow fever) if applicant will travel through or stay in yellow fever belt.
5. 3 months bank statement, certified by bank and not older than 7 days from the time of application.
6. proposed flight itinerary; No fixed flight arrangements should be made until the visa has been attained.
7. Proof of hotel booking or accommodation.
8. Copies of passport bio-data pages
9. Original covering letter signed by the applicant stating the name, passport number of applicant(s) and duration of visit. Letter must have the physical address, as well as contact details of authorized signature’s name, designation and signature

DATELINE OF MY APPLIED SOUTH AFRICA TOURIST VISA 

January 12, 2018 (Fri) -applied online my hostel bookings and my medical travel insurance for only 74 AED. Both documents of hostel booking and medical travel insurance confirmation were received immediately after payment confirmation. After this, I filled-up my application form, no appointment needed to visit the Embassy.

January 15, 2018 (Mon) - I visited the South Africa Embassy in Abu Dhabi around 1000H. Upon entering the embassy, not much line queuing waiting to be served. To strengthen my application, I submitted confirm flight tickets, accommodation, yellow fever certificate, travel insurance (needed only in Dubai office) stamped latest 3 months bank statement and Letter to the Consulate from my company. I have been told by the Filipina staff inside the embassy that Philippine Passport holders are visa fee gratis (free). After a couple of minutes, she handed-over claiming slip and wait for a call form the embassy on the date of claim of my passport.

January 31, 2018 (Wed) - The embassy called on 21-Jan and was advised that my passport is ready for pick-up. I went back to embassy 2 days after the call. Tourist visa granted with single entry.
