one of three Durbar Square Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley
December 29, 2015
Patan Durbar Square is also badly damaged by April 2015 Earthquake. This place is situated at the centre of the city of Lalitpur in Nepal. It is one of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. One of its attraction is the ancient royal palace where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided.
How to Go to Patan;
There is daily every hour departure from Kathmandu's Purano Bus Park with 30 minutes travel time at 15 NPR fare. But what I did since I don't have else to do was I walked the streets (city trekking) from Thamel to Kantipath to Kupondol to Patan Durbar Square. Admission fee is 1,000 NPR. Photography and video taking is permitted inside.
