Gibraltar 2nd part; going down to Mediterranean Steps

Europa Point is one of the southernmost point of Europe with breathtaking views. Harding's Battery is located here, originally the site for two 32 ponders and a later 12.5" RML gun. Gibraltar lighthouse is the only one outside UK regulated by Trinity house. Traditionally known as "apes", Barbary Macaques are in fact are tailess monkeys. They are the best known of Gibraltar's attractions and roam freely throughout the Nature Reserve. Feeding of these monkeys are prohibited and care should be taken of personal belongings. Barbary Macaques are prone to snatch bags, food, etc so you are advised  to leave all belongings to vehicle. 100-ton gun is an impressive super gun installed in the late 19th century. Casemates Square is named after the military barracks located at the north of the square, formerly the site of public execution.

At the end of the Rock of Gibraltar, the area is flat and occupied by such features as a playing field and a few buildings. On a clear day, views of North Africa can be seen across the Strait of Gibraltar including Ceuta and the Rif Mountains of Morocco; as well as the Bay of Gibraltar and the Spanish towns along its shores. It is accessed from the old town by Europa Road.
